Welcome

A place where your voice is heard

The independent reporting centre (“unabhängige Meldestelle”) accepts reports from people who have themselves been affected by abuse at the hands of a representative of the Freundes-Dienst, or who are aware of such abuse.

The independent reporting centre (see “Information – Unabhängige Untersuchung beim Freundes-Dienst”) was set up to ensure that people who have themselves been affected by abuse at the hands of a representative of the Freundes-Dienst, or who are aware of such abuse, are heard. The aim of this external investigation is to shed light on what happened, so that, on the one hand, we can support you personally as you come to terms with your experiences and, on the other hand, learn from the past and shape the future responsibly.

We know that many people find it difficult to allow themselves to revisit memories of traumatic experiences and to speak about the injustices they have suffered. Please take as much time as you need – there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ pace.

If you feel ready to do so, we warmly invite you to contact the independent reporting centre – by email, letter or via the contact form. We ask that you do so by 31 December 2026. The relevant specialists will receive your report and will then get back to you personally and in confidence. They will offer you a free, no-obligation consultation, during which they will work with you to determine whether, and what kind of, further support might be helpful for you.

All members of the reporting centre are experienced professionals with their own practices and possess in-depth knowledge of dealing with boundary violations as well as religious, psychological and sexual abuse. They also all have a Christian background and are familiar with crises of faith triggered by traumatic experiences. The professionals working for the reporting centre operate completely independently of the commissioning bodies and are accountable solely to you and to the investigation of what has happened.

All professionals are bound by therapeutic confidentiality. Your details will be treated in the strictest confidence: the appointed lawyers will have access only to fully anonymised information for their final report, so that no conclusions can be drawn about your identity.
